Who we are

 

Our Mission: To put into the hands of children easy to prepare snacks for the weekend when parents are working or there is not food in their homes.

 

  • Feed more than 450 Mitchell elementary and middle school students every weekend

  • Funded completely by donations and volunteers

  • Gives more than $50,000 in food every year


Mitchell's Weekend Snack Pack Program provides snacks on the weekends to elementary, middle and high school students who are eligible for the free and reduced school lunch program.  The program has been running since 2009 with its first delivery made January 8, 2010.
